Vicarage Cottage Ruislip ( Extension to Locally Listed Building)
Project Scope: This design-and-build project involved the removal of an existing conservatory and the construction of a striking modern extension to a detached cottage. Adjoining a Locally Listed Building and set against a backdrop of a beautiful, secluded garden, the new structure was designed to provide a deliberate architectural contrast to the original cottage’s painted brick and slate roof. While the existing home is characterized by low-ceilinged spaces, the new extension introduces dramatic height and volume, housing an expansive open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area. Clad in charred black timber with matching soffits and minimalist black aluminium glazing, the project prioritizes high-end detailing to create a seamless transition between the contemporary interior and the surrounding landscape.
